Product Description Revised, expanded, and redesigned, this handy paperback edition is loaded with irresistible photos and easy-to-implement tips for raising a happy, healthy, well-mannered dog, no matter what the breed or environment.
Every dog owner wants to communicate better with his or her pet, insuring the well-being of both dog and owner. This inspiring book has great tricks and ideas for dog owners of all kinds, from the first-timer to the lifelong pet owner—and its combination of simple, practical tips with delightful photos and inspiring stories of real dogs makes for a little book that has everything.
A self-described "dog listener," Anne Bobby has translated her deep animal intuition and extensive experience into 75 easy-to-follow tips written from the point of view of the dog addressing the owner. They cover the most common questions and dilemmas dog-owners face, from figuring out the healthiest snacks to how to introduce a dog to the new baby, to how to instill proper "petiquette" at the dog run. Each tip is illustrated by a photo from well-known animal photographer Jim Dratfield, making the book as "gifty" and adorable as it is practical.

The behavioral, veterinary, literary, and emotional components of the Canine/Human relationship are in perfect focus and balance in this fine work, which I understand is being considered for adaptation to the musical stage under the title My Fair Doggie.
